Assessment-Holland Code
For my Critical Issues class, I took a self assessment called the Self-Directed Search. This assessment was made to help identify which occupational themes a person most identifies with. There are six themes: realistic, enterprising, artistic, social, investigative, and conventional. My top three themes were social, artistic, and investigative which support my decision to pursue graphic design perfectly.
Primary Theme- Social
People who like to work with people to enlighten, inform, help, train, or cure them, or are skilled with words.
Secondary Theme- Artistic
People who have artistic, innovating, or intuitional abilities and like to work in unstructured situations using their imagination and creativity.
Third Theme- Investigative
People who like to observe, learn, investigate, analyze, evaluate, or solve problems.
All three of my Holland Code Self Assessment results are beneficial and commonly found in a graphic designer, which reassures my decision.
