Community service
I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to give back to my community while simultaneously utilizing my skills in graphic design to promote the event. This year, I was able to be a chair of our local FBLA chapter's Community Service Project. The purpose of this project was to educate community members on the history of our small town through an educational historical hayrack ride and a video of community members sharing their memories of Elmwood.
I was in charge of producing the promotional materials before the event which included two posters that were posted around Elmwood and Murdock as well as shared on social media. I designed a map of our town with the historical locations marked to be used on the day of the event so that the people in attendance could follow the route. I also put together a video of community members sharing their memories of Elmwood many years ago. This video was shown on the day of our event following the historical hayrack ride.
